Job Overview:
Unilever Ice Cream is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (with remote working options available). The primary responsibility of this role is to drive sales and distribution for the company’s products, manage the allocated territory, and build strong customer relationships.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our sales targets are met, and that the competitive position of our products in the market is strengthened. You will have the opportunity to manage key accounts, negotiate with regional sales teams, and implement promotional activities—all while supporting Unilever’s brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Distribution: Achieve sales targets by driving personal selling (visiting markets) and improving the RS (Retail Sales) system performance.
- Customer Service: Enhance the company’s competitive position in the market by improving customer service and developing strong relationships with customers.
- Team Leadership: Negotiate and develop relationships with RS to help them manage their teams effectively, and take corrective actions when necessary to optimize sales performance.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities, providing feedback to the branch on necessary actions to counter these activities and protect market share.
- Promotional Activities: Organize and execute promotional activities within budget limits in consultation with superiors to increase product visibility and engagement.
- Sales Planning and Execution: Support the execution of channel sales plans and ensure consistent tracking of ROI (Return on Investment) for various brand activities.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background: A minimum of a full-time graduate degree.
- Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in channel sales, with a focus on distributor handling, ROI calculations, and CRS distribution management.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in ROI calculations and sales planning.
- Strong knowledge of distributor management and sales target achievement.
- Experience in executing promotional activities effectively.
- Good communication skills in both English and the local language.
- Attributes: A proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to take corrective actions to close performance gaps.
