Role Overview:
As a Data Analyst at Capgemini, your primary responsibility is to import, inspect, clean, transform, validate, and interpret large datasets.
Your expertise will be utilized to ensure that the company’s data sources and repositories are consistent, accurate, and reliable. You will be leveraging different algorithms and IT tools to analyze data, prepare reports, and present your findings in visually engaging formats, such as dashboards, graphs, and charts.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management and Analysis:
- Import, clean, and transform datasets to make them suitable for analysis.
- Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Utilize statistical methods, algorithms, and machine learning models to perform data analysis.
- Create and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all repositories.
- Identify and solve business problems by interpreting data insights and presenting them to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Reporting and Visualization:
- Design and build automated dashboards, visualizations, and reports to present data insights to stakeholders.
- Develop actionable, clear, and visually appealing reports, using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
- Make complex data sets easy to understand through charts, graphs, and other visual aids that simplify decision-making processes.
Consulting and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor for stakeholders across various departments by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with business teams to understand their challenges and goals, ensuring that the data analysis aligns with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that data repositories and systems support business needs and are aligned with data governance standards.
Ensuring Data Quality:
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Perform quality checks to verify the integrity of data before analysis and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any data issues or discrepancies that may arise in data management and reporting.
Support Decision-Making and Business Growth:
- Support business growth by leveraging data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in business processes and customer experience.
- Provide regular reports and insights on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), business metrics, and trends to help drive decision-making.
- Recommend actionable steps for business improvements based on data insights, helping stakeholders make informed decisions that directly contribute to growth.
Required Skills and Competencies:
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and strong consulting skills to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis and automation.
- Data Visualization: Strong experience using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
- Data Management: Solid understanding of data warehousing, data pipelines, and databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, or cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure).
- Statistical Analysis: In-depth knowledge of statistical techniques and methods for data analysis, including regression, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
- Machine Learning & AI: Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and AI techniques to extract insights from data is a plus.
- Excel Expertise: Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization, including pivot tables, functions, and macros.

- Consulting Skills: The ability to engage with business stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable data-driven recommendations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve data-related problems quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related areas is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or business intelligence.
- Experience working in a consulting environment or directly with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
