Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a skilled Performance Testing Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring that our applications perform optimally by testing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting improvements. Knowledge of cloud application performance, especially for GCP applications, would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis: Conduct deep performance analysis to identify potential issues and performance bottlenecks in applications.
- Testing with Tools: Use K6, JMeter, Dynatrace, and Splunk for detailed performance testing.
- Cloud Performance Review: Analyze and assess the performance of cloud-based applications, including AWS and GCP.
- Automation with Python: Develop Python scripts to automate performance testing tasks and data creation.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed performance reports with actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve performance issues, offering technical support and insights.
- Communication: Explain technical performance findings in a clear and concise manner for non-technical teams.
Qualifications
- Performance Testing Skills: Proficiency with K6, JMeter, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS, with GCP knowledge as an advantage.
- Scripting Skills: Able to create Python scripts for test automation.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent at identifying and resolving performance-related issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical details effectively.
