Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Engineer UI at Reltio, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience for our products. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Building Scalable and Reliable Interfaces: You will be responsible for creating highly scalable, reliable, and componentized user interfaces that form the backbone of the Reltio user experience. Your work will ensure that our products are not only functional but also provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our users.
User-Centric Development: You’ll gather feedback from users and customers to build solutions that meet their needs. This user-first approach will guide your work as you develop versatile and reusable interface components.
Developing Across Platforms: Your role will involve developing UI components that can be delivered across multiple platforms, including desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. You’ll use HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript to create responsive and intuitive product experiences.
Collaborating with Back-End Developers and UX Designers: You’ll work closely with back-end developers and UX designers to improve usability and create cohesive, user-friendly interfaces. Your ability to translate mockups into functional client-side code will be key to your success.
End-to-End Involvement: From initial requirements discussions to live deployment, you’ll be involved in every step of the development process. You’ll turn requirements into simple, elegant, and optimal solutions that balance the needs of the business with the health of the technology stack.
Continuous Optimization: You’ll continuously look for ways to optimize and streamline the Reltio UI, ensuring that it delivers a robust and responsive user experience.
Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in front-end development and a passion for creating exceptional user interfaces. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Proven Experience as a Front-End Developer: You should have a strong background in developing user interfaces on scalable and componentized infrastructures.
Experience with Single-Page Applications: You should be comfortable developing single-page HTML5 applications using client-side frameworks like React.
Knowledge of UI Patterns: A deep understanding of User Interface patterns and techniques to solve common UI problems is essential.
Understanding of RESTful APIs: You should have experience in designing and developing web applications that use RESTful APIs.
Collaboration with UX Designers: You should have experience working with UX designers and converting mockups into working client-side code using HTML5 and CSS3.
Browser Testing and Debugging: Familiarity with browser testing and debugging is crucial for ensuring that your code works seamlessly across different platforms and devices.
OO Design Principles: A solid understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) design principles and how to apply them in a highly scaled environment is important.
